Tracking the digital juggler (24 Sep 2003)
Often, the good jugglers would be the children who were not able to focus in class. The teachers would frown, and say they were bad pupils, that they were not making enough of an effort to focus. Their minds would wander, their hands would fiddle with different objects, their attention would leap from one node of information to the next. We were told this was undisciplined. But with the balls in their hands, they would be focused on everything at the same time, wonderfully fluid, in control and happy.
