The game is played through a simple point and click interface which is easy to grasp (and can be adapted to allow for the recording of in-game events and action sequences) and allows quick access to the gameplay experience - the complexity lies in the role-playing, adventure elements of the game, not in mastering a set of controls. As a fantasy role-playing game, the themes and mythology are fairly similar to those of many MUDs and other fantasy games - players are provided with a fairly detailed background which establishes the setting and the period and helps to generate a consistent and recognisably familiar story world.
