What this means is that, when Lucy reaches the hospital, its systems will notice her arrival by detecting her ePerSpace device. She'll be automatically registered, with relevant personal details being transferred into the hospital's database, and this will start a chain of events. The hospital catering system will be alerted to Lucy's allergy problems by her personal profile, so the food sent to her room will contain no salt or milk proteins. And the hospital's stock management systems will prepare her new knee and three litres of her blood type. These items will be sent to the operating room booked for Lucy's operation next day.
