I am talking about the technology itself. The meaning of 'IT' does not encompass the information that flows through the technology or the talent of the people using the technology. . . . [I]nformation and talent often form the basis of business advantage. That has always been true, and it will continue to be so. Indeed, as the strategic value of the technology fades, the skill with which it is used on a day-to-day basis may well become even more important to a company's success.
